Video: Franklin Covey Compact Setup!

Can you believe it?  A post two days in a row and videos to boot!  I am trying really hard to not let my "perfectionism" take control, so I am just moving forward with videos and I am NOT stressing over whether or not they are perfect, if I sound funny or if I have edited it to include an intro.

So what you are getting is pretty much a raw video from start to finish with no outline or pre-planning of what I am going to say.....

This video goes over my current setup (I change out binders almost as fast as I change purses).  Although I swap out binders, the contents remain about 95% the same.  Sometimes I have my wallet included in my binder and sometimes I don't.  In this video I have it (the wallet) included.

The binder I am showcasing is vinyl and it is available at office supply stores as a complete binder and planner insert package.  I believe the price is usually around $25 for the compact size and color choices are Black or Burgundy.  The rings in this come standard at 1", but I have up-sized mine to 1.25".  I know Office Depot/Max carries them both online and in their stores.  You can check it out here:  http://www.officedepot.com - something to note is that the description lists the pages as 6.5" x 4.5" and this is incorrect.  The correct size for FC Compact inserts is 6.75" tall x 4.25" wide and that is what you will get with this binder/planner package.

Franklin Covey's Compact size Binder will accommodate Filofax Personal Sized inserts, but keep in mind that Franklin Covey's Compact inserts are .5" wider than Filofax Personal Sized inserts, therefore the Binders are slightly wider to accommodate the half inch extra width.

Thank you for stopping by and please let me know if you have any questions!

  1. The slight extra width is very nice. Spacious.

  2. I'm in the process of switching over to FC Compact from FF Personal. Absolutely love the Compact. So much less restrictive. After working with this size for 3 weeks, I don't see me going back.

    1. You never know....once again I have cut down the width of my Franklin Covey Compact inserts so that I can use any planner that I want....some people have a hard time deciding on their inserts, I have a hard time deciding between FC Compact and FF Personal ;)
